Los Portales launches the Ludovida program

2 min readCustomers

As part of its social management pillar, through which it seeks to foster society's development, Los Portales presented the ‘Ludovida’ concept, a program that aims to promote socially conscious entertainment spaces for children and teenagers. In this way, it seeks to replicate the successful Ludoparque format, as well as promote new proposals in the projects where it has a presence through its various business units.

Through the ‘Ludovida’ concept, the company aims to promote play and entertainment as an engine of human development, transforming spaces into playful and educational environments and highlighting the value of play for the well-being of the population. To do so, the company seeks to expand its network of strategic partners to increase the program's coverage.

“We want the Ludovida program to be positioned as a benchmark of sustainability and good business practice thanks to its positive impact on society. We have been working on building Ludoparques because we understand that promoting play activities and healthy recreational spaces for minors is essential for their development and learning, and for building greater empathy with their surroundings,” said Fernando Viaña, head of Social Responsibility at Los Portales.

Ninth Ludoparque

Recently, Los Portales inaugurated its ninth Ludoparque in the country, a comprehensive social responsibility project it develops together with the educational association Caritas Graciosas. The new facility is located in the district of Salaverry, in the province of Trujillo, and covers approximately 824 square meters.

The new Ludoparque, which joins those located in 26 de Octubre (Piura), El Tambo (Junín), Castilla (Piura), Pimentel (Lambayeque), Barranca (Lima), Santa Rosa (Lima), Cañete (Lima) and Subtanjalla (Ica), aims to reach 1,200 children in the area.

Built under the “Huaca, Sun and Moon” concept, the project features a variety of play structures, such as an airplane, a maze, an enchanted portal, a pergola with benches, a bus and a climbing structure, among others. To date, Los Portales' Ludoparques have benefited 4,500 families and 25,000 children, and have made it possible to train 140 neighborhood leaders and recover a cumulative area of 14,500 square meters.
