At Los Portales we foster community development in Salaverry with a new Ludoparque for more than 2,000 neighbors

At Los Portales, we reaffirm our commitment to Peru's sustainable development by transforming unused land into environments that generate real value and improve families' quality of life. As part of this vision, this year we delivered a 770 m² Ludoparque in the Alberto Fujimori II Human Settlement, in the district of Salaverry (La Libertad). This initiative turned a previously abandoned area into a fully equipped facility that directly benefits more than 2,000 neighbors in the area.

The project responds to the need for play infrastructure in the area, incorporating green areas and structures that promote learning, play and healthy recreation for children in a safe environment.

How do we at Los Portales ensure the upkeep and sustainability of the park together with the community?

At Los Portales we understand that a project lasts when the community makes it its own. That is why, in a strategic alliance with the Asociación Caritas Graciosas and the District Municipality of Salaverry, we promote participatory workshops to train parents and neighborhood leaders. In this way, the neighbors themselves take on the care, management and organization of activities in the park autonomously.

What level of attendance does this Ludoparque record every weekend?

Our attendance reports confirm a strong community response: every weekend, the park brings together up to 160 neighbors in total. Specifically, it gathers more than 120 boys and girls taking part in recreational activities, accompanied by 40 adults and caregivers who enjoy a safe setting and family togetherness.

How does this initiative reflect the purpose of Los Portales in real estate development?

With the delivery of this project in Salaverry, at Los Portales we show how responsible investment in projects with purpose helps create sustainable communities in Peru. Our commitment is to keep turning vulnerable areas into spaces of opportunity that strengthen community integration and ensure the well-being of Peruvian families.
